Day1 Arrive in Yerevan. Meet at the airport, transfer to the accommodation. Night walk in Yerevan.Dinner at the restaurant
Day2 City tour in Yerevan includes following sightseeing places: Cascade complex, Republic Square, Opera House, Matenadaran. Next step is Ejmiatsin town, here we visit Mother Cathedral, which is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church. According to scholars it was the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia, and is considered the oldest cathedral in the world. After Ejmiatsin we will visit Zvartnots temple.
Day3 The Khor Virap is one of the amazing monasteries of Armenia, founded in 4th century, it is located in Ararat plain, near border with Turkey. Visit Areni cave complex. In 2010, it was announced that the earliest known shoe was found in the cave.In January 2011, the earliest known winery in the world was announced to have been found. Also in 2011, the discovery of a straw skirt dating to 3900 BC was reported. In 2009, the oldest brain was discovered. Next step is Tatev Monastery, is a medieval monastic complex in Armenia’s Syunik province, founded in the IV century. Visiting Tatev you will admire with its architecture, history and culture. Visit Goris (overnight).
Day4 Next step is Khndzoresk, here we visit to Swinging Bridge of Khndzoresk, which has 160 meters long, 1,5 meters wide and rises 36 meters above the ground. We continue our trip to Qarahunj, also called Zorats karer is a prehistoric megalithic structure and the world’s oldest observatory. The phrase ZoratsKarer is literally translated from Armenian as Army Stones. Then we go to Shaki village, where we meet Shaki waterfall. Waterfall area is rich with deep canyon cliffs and caves. It is Armenia’s highest waterfall, with a height of 18 m. After all our visits we return to Yerevan.
Day5 Vernissage. Transfer to the airport
The Yerevan Vernissage is an open-air exhibition-market functioning on the weekends. It was formed during the 1980s by Armenian artists who started to display their art works in the square next to the Artists Union of Armenia.
