Day1 Arrival in Yerevan. Meet at the airport, transfer to the accommodation. Night walk. Dinner in the restaurant.
Day2 Our today’s program is started from City tour in Yerevan, which includes following sightseeing places: Cascade complex, Republic Square, Opera House, Matenadaran. Next step is Ejmiatsin town, here we visit Mother Cathedral, which is the mother church of the Armenian Apostolic Church. According to scholars it was the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia, and is considered the oldest cathedral in the world. Next step is Zvartnots, it is the early medieval architectural monument, founded in 7th century , it is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day3 Next step is Geghard monastery, it is one of the most visiting places of Armenia, Geghard is a medieval monastery, founded in the 4th century by Gregory the Illuminator. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visiting Garni we also choose to visit temple to Garni, it is a Hellenistic temple, founded in 77 AD. Sevan, also known as Geghama Tsov, is a lake in Gegharkunik province, it is known as a third largest lake with fresh water in the world. The total surface area is 5000 km2. Sevan is the best place for summer holidays.
Day4 On the forth day we visit Aruchavank or the Cathedral of Aruch, situated on a rocky plateau at the western foot of Mount Aragats in the village of Aruch in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. According to wall inscriptions on the east wall and manuscripts written by historians Ghevond, Hovhannes Draskhanakerttsi, and Stepanos Asoghik, the church and adjoining building for residence (the palace) were commissioned by Prince Grigor Mamikonian and his wife Heghine/Heline between 661-682 AD. Aruch became a citadel in the later Middle Ages.Next step is Marmarashen, village in the Ararat province, here we visit Saint Gevorg church, founded in 2001. Next step is Gyumri (city tour).
Day5 On the last day we visit Dendropark, it is the Botanical garden in Stepanavan city, founded in 1931 by Edmon Lenovich. The park area of 17.5 hectares of natu it ral forest and 15 hectares of ornamental trees. Next step is Hnevanq monastery, it is an architectural monument, situated in the Lori region. After Hnevank we continue our trip to Lori Berd, a medieval fortress in the Lori province.
Day6 Visit Vernissage, large open-air marketin center of Yerevan. Depurture
The Yerevan Vernissage is an open-air exhibition-market functioning on the weekends. It was formed during the 1980s by Armenian artists who started to display their art works in the square next to the Artists Union of Armenia.
