——————————–

Day1  Arrival in Yerevan. Meet at the airport, transfer to the accommodation. Night walk in Yerevan.

Day2  Our first visit of today is Norvanak, was founded in 1205 by Bishop Hovhannes, a former abbot of Vahanavank near the present-day city of Kapan in Syunik. The monastic complex includes the church of S. Karapet, S. Grigor chapel with a vaulted hall, and the church of S. Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God). Ruins of various civil buildings and khachkars are found both inside and outside of the compound walls.   Next step is Khndzoresk. Visitors are welcome to explore the cave system, but a trip across the gorge is not for the faint of heart. However, making the trip a bit easier if no less harrowing, is a 160-meter long suspension bridge that was built using nothing more than local funds and labor in 2012 and which shakes with every footstep. The new bridge connects Old Khndzoresk and New Khndzoresk, the modern village, bridging Armenia’s history with the present day both figuratively and literally. After our trip we go to Stepanakert.

Day3 On the 6th day  we visit Nikol Duman’s museum, who was an agent of the Armenian national liberation movement and a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. Next step is Gandzasar, it is a 10th to 13th century Armenian monastery. After it we visit Tigranakert, it is a ruined Armenian city dating back to the Hellenistic period. It is one of several former cities in the Armenian plateau with the same name, named in honor of the Armenian king Tigranes the Great (r. 95–55 B.C.).

Day4 On the forth day we visit Shushi, which will admire you with its beauty, then we will continue our trip to Hunot George. After it back to Stepanakert.

Day5 After Stepanakert we continue our trip to Selim caravansary,it was built along the Vardenyats Mountain Pass (previously known as the Selim Mountain Pass) in 1332, by prince Chesar Orbelian to accommodate weary travelers and their animals as they crossed from, or into, the mountainous Vayots Dzor region. Next steps are Noratus and Sevan lake.

Day6 Vernissage. Transfer to the airport
The Yerevan Vernissage is an open-air exhibition-market functioning on the weekends. It was formed during the 1980s by Armenian artists who started to display their art works in the square next to the Artists Union of Armenia.
